Free Macro Alerts: Regime Changes, Scenario Triggers, and a Daily Digest
A free Convex account watches the macro regime and up to 30 indicators you choose, then emails you when something actually changes. Turn on regime alerts, scenario alerts, a daily digest, or all three, and manage everything from one page after you sign in.
Macro Regime Change Alerts
The regime model re-evaluates daily against more than 150 economic indicators covering growth, inflation, liquidity, real rates, credit spreads, currencies, and commodities. The output is always one of four labels: Goldilocks, Reflation, Stagflation, or Deflation. When the label moves, say Goldilocks to Stagflation, every member with regime alerts turned on gets a market regime alerts email the same day explaining what changed and why. See how the classification works on the live regime page.
Scenario Trigger Alerts
Alongside the regime label, Convex tracks a running set of probability-weighted macro scenarios. Each one carries a resolution condition: a specific metric, an operator, and a threshold that has to hold for a set number of days before the scenario is flagged for review. A daily scan promotes new candidates, updates probabilities on the ones already tracked, and retires scenarios the data no longer supports. Scenario alerts fire only on those state changes: a scenario promoted, triggered, or retired, not on every small probability move. The macro guide walks through how the scenarios are built and read.
Daily Digest and Your Watchlist
The daily macro digest email arrives once each morning: the current regime read, the newest macro brief, and every ticker on your watchlist with its latest value. Build your own economic indicator watchlist from any of the site's 300-plus live indicators, FRED series, futures and spot prices, credit spreads, sentiment gauges, and on-chain data, up to 30 tickers at a time. Add, remove, or reorder tickers any time from the alerts page once you're signed in. Browse the full indicator directory to see what's available before you commit to a watchlist.
Set up regime alerts, scenario alerts, and a watchlist in a couple of minutes. No card, no trial, just an email and a password.
What an Alert Looks Like
Here is a shortened sample regime alert. Real emails link back to the live regime page and to your alert settings, and never include a trade recommendation.
The macro regime shifted today from Goldilocks to Stagflation.
Growth is slowing while inflation stays elevated, the hardest backdrop for portfolio construction. Real yields and widening credit spreads did most of the work in the reclassification.

Who This Is For
This fits someone who already checks a macro dashboard every week or two out of habit, knows what Goldilocks and Stagflation mean, and would rather be interrupted only when something structural moves. Free alerts flip the habit around: instead of checking on a schedule, you find out the moment the regime label changes or a scenario you're tracking clears its resolution bar. The daily digest is there for people who want a habit anyway, one email, well under a minute to read, then back to whatever you were doing.
Free Market Alerts FAQ
Is Convex Market Alerts free?
Yes. Regime alerts, scenario alerts, the daily digest, and a 30-indicator watchlist are all free with a Convex account. There is no paid tier for this feature.
How often will I get email?
Only when something actually happens: a regime change, or a tracked scenario getting promoted, triggered, or retired. If you also turn on the daily digest, that adds one email each morning with the regime, the newest brief, and your watchlist. Nothing else goes out.
Can I unsubscribe?
Yes, in one click from the link in any alert email, or by turning the toggles off on the alerts page at any time. Turning an alert off stops that email immediately, it does not delete your account or your watchlist.
What data powers the alerts?
The regime model runs against more than 150 economic indicators from sources including FRED, the EIA, and CFTC positioning data. Scenario alerts are driven by the same scenario radar that tracks probability-weighted macro scenarios and checks their resolution conditions against live data every day.
Do you sell trade picks?
No. The alerts monitor the regime, your scenarios, and your watchlist, then tell you when something changes. Nothing here is a buy or sell recommendation, and no alert email contains a trade idea.
How do I set up my watchlist?
Create a free account, then open the alerts page and search the site's 300-plus live indicators by name or ticker. Add up to 30 to your watchlist, and they show up in your daily digest with their latest values.
Free market alerts take under a minute to set up. Turn on what you want, build your watchlist, and stop checking charts out of habit.
